Koppin, 70, were held at the Zoar Reformed church Saturday afternoon by Rev. Peter Schild, pastor of the church, with burial following in the church cemetery. Prayer services were conducted at the Morgan Funeral Home prior to the funeral services. Pallbearers were Will Koppin, George Koppin, John Schwarz, Glen Koppin, Walter Koppin, and Elmer Beukema. Prayer services were conducted at the Morgan Funeral Home prior to the funeral services. Pallbearers were Will Koppin, George Koppin, John Schwarz, Glen Koppin, Walter Koppin, and Elmer Beukema. Miss Bess Klopping and Mrs. Milo Mills had charge of the flowers. Music was furnished by a quartet composed of Herman Leibsle, William Klauenbrug, Roy Ruelhman, and Ed Herzog accompanied by Mrs. Ed Herzog. They sang "Nearer my Home" and "Face to Face." Mr. Koppin, a resident of Jasper County for 54 years, was born in Germany Jan. 7, 1868 and came to the United States in 1884. He was united in marriage to Louise Olday in 1890 in North Dakota and to this union were born four children all of whom survive. They are John of Kellogg, Paul of Monroe, Mrs John Petermeier of Newton and Mrs. Arlie Antle of Kellogg. He was preceded in death by his wife in February, 1908. On March 4, 1915, he was united in marriage to Hanna Klopping who survives with two sisters, Mrs. Caroline Chollett of Laurel, Mrs. Amellia Koppin in Illinois and two brothers, Charles of Newton, and Will of Minneapolis, Minn. ********************************************************* Note: August F. Koppin was born in Naulin, (Kr. Pyritz), Pommern, Prussia,(Germany), Now Nowielin (Kr. Pyrzyce), Szczecin, Poland. He came to the America on 8 Oct 1884 with his brother Carl (Charles) Koppin.
