| Description | : | August Hennies was born in Hoersun, Hanover, Germany October 11, 1840. In 1868 he was married to Johanna Funke , she survives him with their six children. Four of whom have families of their own and two are still living at home. In 1881 he came to America and after living south of State Center for a short time he moved to the present homestead, where he prospered with the development of the country.
