Osterholm had been a blacksmith at Essex from 1882 until his 84th birthday, a few months ago when he was forced to give up his work because of illness. Osterholm had been a blacksmith at Essex from 1882 until his 84th birthday, a few months ago when he was forced to give up his work because of illness. He is survived by three sons, Herbert of Portland, Oregon, Gordon of Wichita, Kansas, Milton at home; four daughters, Mrs. Floyd McMaster and Mrs. Roy McMaster, both of Maywood, Illinois, Mrs. Paul Mariger of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Marian at home. Two sisters, Mrs. Phil School of Ottumwa and Mrs. M. L Wilson of Falls City, Nebraska, six grandchildren and one great grandchild are survivors. The father, P. E. Osterholm, 79, has been in business longer than anyone else in town August E. Osterholm, blacksmith, still occupies the building which he built himself in 1882. Now 79, Mr. Osterholm came straight from Jonkoping, Sweden when he was 21 and built a blacksmith shop in 1882. He got his lumber from the old Linderholm lumberyard. He still occupies it.
