Description	:	P. E. Osterholm was born in Sweden, November 11, 1827, died April 20, 1906, at his home in Essex, at the age of 76 yers, 5 months, and nine days. He came to Essex in 1881 and has been engaged in the jewelry business most of the time since. He was married in 1854 and was the father of eleven children, four sons and two daughters are still living. His aged wife is in very feeble health not being able to sit up only a part of the time. Osterholm was born in Sweden, November 11, 1827, died April 20, 1906, at his home in Essex, at the age of 76 yers, 5 months, and nine days. He came to Essex in 1881 and has been engaged in the jewelry business most of the time since. He was married in 1854 and was the father of eleven children, four sons and two daughters are still living. His aged wife is in very feeble health not being able to sit up only a part of the time. His children were all in attendance at the funeral which was conducted in the Lutheran Church. Rev. Mr. Kjalstrom preached a short sermon in the Swedish language and Rev. A. M. Spargrove in the English language. A large encourse of people attended the funeral. Grandpa Osterholm was a man of many friends. His life has always been so clean and pure that to know him was to respect and love him. He has suffered for years with cancer having several operations, but finally had to succumb to the dreadful malady. His sufferings were intense the last few weeks, but he bore it patiently waiting anxiously for the call of the Savior. The remains were laid to rest in the Essex Cemetery. The family have the sympathy of the entire community.
