Description	:	Austin Ash Dies At 97 Austin A. Ash, 97, died at the home of his daughter in Marshalltown Monday morning. Born Jan. 1, 1882, in Stillwater, Pa., he was the don of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ash. He received his education and grew to manhood in the area of hos birth. In 1909 at Onowa he was married to Elma Granger. After this time they always made their home on the farm in Marshall County. Mr. Ash was a member of the Farm Bureau and the Rock Valley Cemetery board. Preceding him in death were his wife, four brothers and two sisters and two sons, one in WWII. Surviving are two sons, and four daughters, Rondo Ash of Marshalltown, Mrs. May Walters of Marshalltown, Rosie Mrs. Lawrence Ostrem of Ames, Ida Mrs. Ransford Butcher of Marshalltown, Mrs. Hilda Mrs. Lawrence Smith of Marshalltown and Herbert Ash rural Marshalltown. Also surviving are 24 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, two brothers and two sisters, Joseph Ash of Bloomsberg, Pa., and Ralph Ash of Stillwater, Pa., Mrs. Gertrude Keeler of Benton, Pa., and Mrs. Nona Derr of Bloomsberg, Pa. Service will be from the Estel-Perrin chapel at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Bill Breeden of the Open Bible Church officiating. Burial will be in the Rock Valley Cemetery. Austin Ash Services Conducted Wednesday Services for Austin A. Ash, Route 2 who died Monday were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday from the chapel of Estel- Perrin Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Breeden, pastor of the Open Bible Church officiating. Burial was in Rock Valley Cemetery. Bearers were Howard Mitchem, John Hitchings, Raymond Handorf, Clifford Chinn, Donald Searle, and Dale Salasek.
