Description	:	Mrs. Hilda M. Smith, 67, of W. Lincolnway, died Monday at Grandview Heights Nursing Home. Born Feb. 1, 1917, in Stillwater, Pa., she was the daughter of Austin and Elna Ash. She was educated in the Rock Valley School. On Dec. 19, 1936 in Tama, she was married to Lawrence Smith. They made their home in Garwin area for many years where they were engaged in farming. Mrs. Smith was a member of the First Church of the Open Bible. Preceding her in death besides Mr. Smith were two brothers. Survivors include three daughters, Murene Robinson and Alice Smith, both of Des Moines, Mary Ankrum of Marshalltown; three sisters, Mae Walters of Marshalltown, Rose Ostem, Ames, and Ida Butcher, Marshalltown; two brothers, Rondo Ash and Herbert Ash, both Marshalltown, and six grandchildren. Service will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. from the chapel of the Estel-Perrin-Avey Funeral Home. The Rev. Gregory Mast, pastor of the Open Bible Church, will be officiate. Burial will be in Rock Valley Cemetery in rural Marshalltown. Friends may call at the Estel-Perrin-Avey Funeral Home. Pallbearers:Keith Bovenmyer, Fred Yantis, Roger Ankrum, Dale Robinson, Jim Robinson, David Robinson.
