Description	:	Barbara Leseth, age 81, of Omaha, Nebraska and formerly of Schaller, Iowa, died Saturday, February 7, 2009 in Omaha. Funeral services for Mrs. Leseth will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 12, 2009 at the Presbyterian Church in Schaller. Burial will be in the Schaller Cemetery. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Schaller is in charge of the arrangements. There will be no visitation. Barbara was born July 4, 1927 in Eldora, Iowa, the daughter of Floyd and Ina Mae (Martin) Crosley. She spent her childhood in Hubbard, Iowa, where she attended grade school and graduated from Hubbard High School in 1944. Barb continued her education at Westmar College in LeMars, Iowa, where she graduated in 1947 with a teaching certificate. On July 17, 1954, Barb was united in marriage to Marvin Leseth in Fremont, Nebraska. The couple was blessed with two daughters, Becky and Laurie. Barb and Marvin would have been married for nearly 55 years this coming July. Barb taught first grade students for many years until her retirement in 1990. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Schaller. Reading, cooking and watching sports, especially the Nebraska Cornhuskers, were among her special interests. Barb loved her family and friends, and she treasured any time spent with them. In her later years, her grandchildren held a special place in her heart. She will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Marvin, of Omaha, Nebraska; her daughters, Becky Brown and Laurie Leseth; her grandchildren: Brandie Ridgely and Cassie Martin; her great-grandchild, Adrian Martin; her sister, Mary Jane Hartman; her beloved dog, Max; extended family and many friends. Barb was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Ina Mae Crosley.
