Born December 1 1928 in Chester, MD, she was the daughter of the late James Gilmore, Austin, Sr and Drusilla Thomas Austin. She attended school in Chested and Stevensville area. She married Louis M. Blunt, SR of Chester on February 9 1946. She was a homemaker and lived in the Grasonville area, at Perry's Corner Road. She also worked at cleaning houses from some time. Mr. Blunt predeceased her in 1990. She was a member of the Grasonville Church of God in Grasonville, MD, New Windsor Church of God in New Windsor, MD and Clarksburg Church of God. She was Faithful member of the Church of God since July 12, 1959 where she volunteered with many events within the church and the community. She enjoyed needlepoint, puzzles and loved collecting photographs. Most of all she was a prayer warrior. Mrs. Blunt is survived by a son, Louis Medford Blunt, Jr. and his wife Carol of Wye Mills, MD; a daughter, Carol Ann Britt and her husband, Mark, Sr. of Frederick, MD; a daughter in-law Patty Blunt of Grasonville, MD; five brothers, Thomas G. Austin of millington, MD, David C. Austin Sr. of Pasadena, MD, William H Austin and James Gilmore Austin, Jr,. bothof Centerville, MD and James Franklin Austin of Grasonville, MD; one sister, Delores N. Terris of Wye Mills, MD; nine grandchildren and expecting her first great great grand daughter. in addition to her husband, she was predeceased by two sons, Roger Wayne Blunt ,Sr . who died in March 2003 and Charles Allan Blunt who died in 1986; two sisters Elizabeth L. Smith who died in 1985 and Janet M. Reese who died in 2002 and a granddaughter, Stacey Lee Blunt who died in 1998. Funeral services will be held at the Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, P.A. Centerville, MD on Tuesday, February 10, 2004 at 1:00 PM where friends my call on Monday from 3-5 and 7- PM . Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Easton MD. Memorial donations my be made to the grasonville Church of God , P.O.
