Description	:	Ben Moxham, son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Moxham, was born in the parish of Dundry, Somersetshire, near Bristol, England, September 1, 1849, and departed this life January 5, 1939, at the home of his son Earnest, where he has lived most of the time since the death of his wife July 26, 1915. He was 89 years 4 months and 5 days of age. He came to America in the spring of 1869, and located in Springfield, Illinois, where he remained for 2 years. Read More	Ben Moxham, son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Moxham, was born in the parish of Dundry, Somersetshire, near Bristol, England, September 1, 1849, and departed this life January 5, 1939, at the home of his son Earnest, where he has lived most of the time since the death of his wife July 26, 1915. He was 89 years 4 months and 5 days of age. He came to America in the spring of 1869, and located in Springfield, Illinois, where he remained for 2 years. Then he went to Omaha, Neb. and became a baggage clerk for the Union Pacific railroad. On February 6, 1878, he married Miss Louise Morris, and to them four sons and two daughters were born, one daughter dying in infancy. In 1884 they came to Republic County, Kansas and located on a farm northwest of Belleville, where they lived until the fall of 1915. He leaves to mourn his departure: the daughter, Mrs. Gertie Salsbury, of Burlington, Kans; and the five sons, Ben and George, of Belleville; Walter and Earnest, of Chesterl and Harry, of Wymore, Neb.; 38 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Reece, of Newport, England, and Mrs. Wm. Hunt, of Chester; and one brother, Alf, of Alberta, Canada. Besides the close relatives he leaves many friends and neighbors. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Christian Church, conducted by the Rev. Harold Reel, who was assisted by the Rev. C.G. Ellis. Internment was made in the Chester Cemetery.
