Read More	The Chester Herald: The news received here last week of the death of Mrs. Benjamin Moxham, Sr., caused sadness in the hearts of her many friends and acquaintances in Chester. --------------------------------------------- The news received here last week of the death of Mrs. Benjamin Moxham, sr. (sic), caused sadness in the hearts of her many friends and acquaintances in Chester. She had suffered and struggled courageously for several years against odds and the ravages of a fatal ailment, despite the fact that nothing was left undone or overlooked in the effort to restore her to health. But death finally claimed her. Mrs. Louise Morris Moxham was born in Springfield, Ill., Aug. 7, 1857 (sic), and departed this life at Trinidad, Colo., July 26, 1916, aged 58 years, 11 months and 19 days. Her early life was spent with a near relative in Cincinnatti (sic) Ohio, until she was about 18 years of age, owing to being left motherless in infancy, when she came to Omaha, where for the first time she met Ben. Moxham who she married February 6, 1878. They resided in Omaha until 1884, when they moved to Kansas, where they resided until going to Colorado last fall, hoping that she might regain her health. She was the mother of five children, Walter, J.H., George and Ernest Moxham, and Mrs. John S. Salisbury of LeRoy, Kan. Early in life she united with the church. Her husband testifies that she was always earnest faithful and devout in things pertaining to God and righteousness. Mrs. Moxham was a good mother, deeply solicitous of the welfare of her child and all those who looked to her for counsel and comfort. To her neighbors she was a constant and untiring friend. She did not seek to popularize herself, being satisfied to work in her humble way in the sphere in which circumstances placed her and by so doing she stamped her name and memory indeliby (sic) upon the hearts of those to whom she proved a benefactress. She was privileged to retain her consciousness until death which came to her as a peaceful sleep at the end of a tiresome journey.
