Description	:	Benjamin Franklin Dodd, of Roseland, died at his home last night of a heart attack. He was born in Nelson County about 50 years ago. He is survived by two brothers, P. R. Dodd of Waynesboro, and Richard Dodd of Afton; and four sisters, Mrs. Ella Fitzgerald of Alexandria, Mrs. Ruth Fields of Roseland, Mrs. Mildred Coffey of Alexandria, and Mrs. Loula Campbell of Ellard. His four children are Bruce, Beulah, and Elizabeth of Maryland, and David Dodd of Washington D. C. Tentative funeral services are arranged for Sunday with burial in the Dodd Cemetery in Beech Grove. Waynesboro News Virginian-date of paper-June 1, 1945 Funeral services for Benjamin Franklin Dodd, who died suddenly Thursday night at his home in Roseland, will be held tomorrow (Sunday) at 2:30 p.m. at the Beech Grove Christian Church, it was announced today. Procession will leave Etter Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m. Mr. Dodd was born July 30, 1891 in Nelson County. He is survived by two brothers, P. R. Dodd of Winchester, and Richard Dodd of Afton; four sisters, Mrs. Ella Fitzgerald of Alexandria, Mrs. Ruth Fields of Roseland, Mrs. Mildred Coffey of Alexandria, and Mrs. Loula Campbell. He is also survived by four children: Bruce Dodd; Mrs. Beulah Hauer, and Mrs. Jesse Ford, all of Lancaster, Pa., and David Dodd, of Washington D. C.; and six grandchildren. Interment will take place in the Dodd Cemetery in Beech Grove. Waynesboro News Virginian-date of paper: June 2, 1945 BEECH GROVE-Funeral services for Benjamin Franklin Dodd, who died unexpectedly at his home, June 1, were conducted from the Beech Grove Christian Church last Sunday at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Arthur W. Janke, pastor of Waynesboro Christian Church, in charge of the services, assisted by the Rev. W. Stanley Courtney, minister at the Basic Methodist Church in Waynesboro. Hymns used were "Abide With Me," "Sometime We'll Understand," and "Safe in the Arms of Jesus." Interment was in the family burial ground. The deceased who was born July 21, 1891, was the youngest child of the late Alexander Dodd and Mrs. Mary A. Dodd. He was twice married and by his first marriage he is survived by one son, Benjamin Bruce Dodd, and two daughters, Mrs. Beulah Dodd Harper and Mrs. Jessie Dodd Ford, also an adopted daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Dodd Fitzgerald, all of Lancaster, Pa. By his second marriage, a son David Leon Dodd, of Washington, D. C. survives. Also surviving him are six grandchildren, two brothers, Parker R. Dodd, of Waynesboro, Richard Dodd, of Afton, and four sisters, Mrs. Ruthie Fields, of Beech Grove, Mrs. Lula Campbell of Ellard, Va., Mrs. Mildred Coffey and Mrs. Ella Fitzgerald, of Alexandria, Va.
