Read More	HOLD FINAL RITES HERE FOR FORMER VILLISCA RESIDENT Funeral services were held at Wolfe’s funeral home Friday afternoon for Benjamin Moore, 82 who died Wednesday, May 10, 1941 in Omaha where he had been residing since 1920. Mr. Moore was born in Highland County, Ohio, June 22, 1858 and came with his parents to Iowa at the age of 6 weeks old, settling in this community. He was married to Mary E. Gourley, September 16, 1885 in Villisca, Iowa and to his union one son, Rolland, was born. Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his wife, May 2,1916, and his son, May 12, 1923. Mr. Moore moved from Villisca to Sioux County, Nebraska in 1918 and lived there until 1928. He was married to Myrtle Evelyn Miller in 1928 and she and one son, David survive him. The Rev. E. M. Buchler was in charge of the funeral services with burial in the Villisca Cemetery. Villisca Review, Thursday, May 15, 1941, page 2 Benjamin Moore, 82, who formerly lived for many years on a farm southeast of Villisca, died Wednesday, 8:00 p.m. in the Douglas County Hospital in Omaha. His body was brought here in the Wolfe ambulance, Wednesday night and funeral services will be held in the Wolfe Funeral Home Friday at 2 p.m., with burial in the Villisca Cemetery.
