Read More	The following provided by Find A Grave contributor "Cara": The River Press, Fort Benton, Mont., 24 Nov 1954 Mrs. Barton Murray Killed in Auto Collision Near Tunis A collision between a car driven by Charles Olson, of this city, and a pickup driven by Carl Storr, of Carter, claimed the life of Mrs. Barton Murray, of this city, in a headon collision early Wednesday evening near the Tunis siding, and seriously injured both Olson and Storr. Mrs. Murray was believed to be instantly killed. Mrs. Murray was returning from Great Falls with Olson and Storr was alone in the pickup. A broken neck and a skull fracture and lacerations were given as the cause of Mrs. Murray's death. Bessie Coughlin was born on Nov. 5, 1900, in North Dakota. She came to Montana with her parents in 1913 and the family homesteaded in the Goosebill area where they lived for several years, then moving to Fort Benton. She was united in marriage on Sept. 5, 1928, to Barton Murray in this city. Her husband passed away in 1953. Mrs. Murray was held in high esteem by all who knew her and her passing will be mourned by a large circle of friends throughout this section, where she had spent the past 37 years. Mrs. Murray is survived by two sons, Robert Murray, of Livingston, and William Baumann, a son by a previous marriage. Also surviving are three sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Nettie Schoonover, Mrs. Mary Crane, Mrs. Florence Uhl, all of this city; Fred Coughlin, Clarks Fork, Idaho, and Bert Coughlin, of Kenmore, N. D., and by a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held from the Church of the Immaculate Conception at 10:30 Friday morning with Rev. Fr. Leo Janson conducting the services. Burial was in the family plot in Riverside cemetery. Relatives have the sympathy of all in their great loss and tragic bereavement.
