Bess Florence Kocher (sic. a/k/a Bessie) was born November 27, 1893, at Amanda, Ohio. She was the daughter of Charles and Mary Shupe Pierce. She was united in marriage to R. R. Kocher (sic. Robert Roy Kocher) on August 6, 1911. For the past 34 years Mr. and Mrs. Kocher had made their home in or near Fairfield at various time (sic. times). At the present time he is employed as butcher at the Raines market. She is survived by her husband; her mother, Mrs. Charles Pierce, Amanda, Ohio; a brother, Robert Pierce, Amanda; and four sisters, Miss Peg Pierce, Columbus, Ohio; Mrs. R. R. Creager, Stautsville (sic. Stoutsville), Ohio; Mrs. Sam Valentine, Lancaster, Ohio; and Mrs. Rev. George Thompson, Sidney, Ohio. Two brothers preceded her is death.
