Description	:	THE COURIER TIMES; New Castle, Indiana; Tuesday, March 23, 1948 Obituary Mrs. Calvin Kirby Mrs. Betty Kirby, 79, widow of Calvin Kirby, died Monday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Chester Batchfield, on the old Spiceland Road south of the city after an extended illness. Survivors in addition to the daughter, are two other daughters, Mrs. Lessie Catron, Independence, Va., and Mrs. Horace Craft, New Castle; three sons, Robert, Marshall and Bayes Kirby, New Castle; a brother, George Carrico of California; and a sister, Mrs. Minnie Nelson, Battle Creek, Neb.; 21 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
