Description	:	ASBURY MATRON BURIED TUESDAY Mrs. Beulah Ward Turner, prominent and highly respected matron of the Asbury section, died in the McCready Hospital here on Saturday evening, where she had been a patient for a short time. She was nearing her 78th birthday. She was born here, the daughter of the late L. James Ward and Elizabeth Sterling Ward. Her husband died a number of years ago. Read More	ASBURY MATRON BURIED TUESDAY Mrs. Beulah Ward Turner, prominent and highly respected matron of the Asbury section, died in the McCready Hospital here on Saturday evening, where she had been a patient for a short time. She was nearing her 78th birthday. She was born here, the daughter of the late L. James Ward and Elizabeth Sterling Ward. Her husband died a number of years ago. Mrs. Turner was a lady of exceptionally fine personality, soft spoken, gentle, and in her long life had endeared herself to everyone who knew her. Friendship and neighborliness were vital parts of her life, and she was happiest when performing a service for the many she helped in sorrow and illness and at other times. Her friends were many, warm hearted, and held her in deep affection. She was a charter member of Chesapeake Chapter No. 28, Order of the Eastern Star, and attended its meetings regularly as long as her health permitted, and a member of Asbury Methodist Church, where she also was regular in attendance and took part in its various activities. Funeral services were held in Asbury Methodist Church at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. Frank A. Baker. Burial was in Asbury Cemetery. Eastern Star Funeral services were also held at the graveside. Bearers were Edmund Tull, Howard Hinman, Herman Sterling, Arthur Hinman, Edmund Sterling and Rev. Wilmer Lawson. Surviving her are one sister, Mrs. Marian (Clell) Webster of Baltimore, a brother, Noah Thomas Ward of Philadelphia, a half-brother, Charles Ward, of Grimstead, Va., and several nieces and nephews.
