Description	:	Beulah Evelyn Esp Forster, 87, died June 10, 2001 at her ranch home with her son, Gene, by her side. Beulah was born November 23, 1913 at the Deer Creek ranch of her parents, Olav (Ole) Torgerson Esp and Anna Lovseth Esp. Her father was one of the founders of the Big Timber Lutheran Church. Beulah attended Deer Creek and Grey Cliff schools and Sweet Grass County High School. She was baptized and confirmed into the Big Timber Lutheran Church. Read More	Beulah Evelyn Esp Forster, 87, died June 10, 2001 at her ranch home with her son, Gene, by her side. Beulah was born November 23, 1913 at the Deer Creek ranch of her parents, Olav (Ole) Torgerson Esp and Anna Lovseth Esp. Her father was one of the founders of the Big Timber Lutheran Church. Beulah attended Deer Creek and Grey Cliff schools and Sweet Grass County High School. She was baptized and confirmed into the Big Timber Lutheran Church. She grew to love all nature, especially birds and the animals. She had an amiable smile and shared her special musical. Some of her favorite teachers were Mrs. Higbee (piano), Mrs. Struckmas (voice), and music teachers, Ramona Lausch. Beulah had the lead in her high school operetta "The Belle of Barcelona". She loved style, bright colors, hats, family and life. She sang in the choir and was salutatorian the year she graduated from Sweet Grass County High School. On June 20, 1932 Beulah married Rudolf (Rudy) Forster, who clerked at the Grey Cliff General Store. Soon they moved to the Forster Ranch east of Grey Cliff, and she enjoyed the Bridger Creek Woman's Club, of which she was a charter member. Two sons were born to Beulah and Rudy: Raymond John Forster, now of Plentywood, and Eugene Lewis Esp Forster of the E Lazy F Registered Hereford Ranch near Grey Cliff, who also composes and plays classical music. Ray and Karen Forster just celebrated their 40th anniversary on June 17 and have four daughters: Keely Forster (Greg) Taylor and two children of Aurora, Colorado, Kris and Kim (Forster) Dedman and three children of Peoria, Arizona, Kerry Forster of Louisville, Kentucky and Randi Forster (Bryan) Bonander and two children of Ennis. Also surviving are a first cousin, Helmar Branae and wife Barbara of Big Timber and their three children, Gary, Shirley and Karen; Helmar's deceased sister, Beulah Steensland's children, Patsy, Florence, Susie and Robert Steensland; nephews, Donald "Ole" (Alice) Esp of Lewistown and Henry Lee (Donna) Esp of Hardin; nieces and nephews of the Broadview families of Alvin and Mary Forster Stiles and Bill and Regina Forster Brinkel; grand nieces, Lee Ann Esp of Avon, CO, Donalee Esp (Kirk) Schmidt and children of Elko, Nevada, Patsy Kelly (Dr. S.E.) Bardon and sons of Falmouth, England, Shelley Esp (Gary) Weikert and Kirsten of Lewistown; grand nephews, Kris (Susan) Esp and children of Grafton, West Virginia, Arnie (Laurie) Esp and son of Billings and Pete Kelly and son of Oregon. Preceding Beulah in death were her husband, Rudolf Lewis Forster in 1987; mother, Anna Lovset Tronrud in 1962; father, Olav Torgerson Esp in 1953; half-brother, Henry Ray Esp in 1989; half-sister, Alma Esp Oswald in 1993; and brother, Oscar Alvin Esp in 1965. Services were held Wednesday, June 20 at 3 p.m. at the Big Timber Lutheran Church. Pallbearers were Bill Esp, Hank Esp, Donald Esp, Terry Terland, Rusty Terland and Jack Plaggemeyer. Honorary pallbearers were Terlmar Terland, Helmar Branae, Harold Esp and Sonny Todd. Burial was in Mountain View Cemetery at Big Timber. Lowry Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
