Description	:	Blanch Viletta (sic) Smith was born in Nuckolls county (sic), Nebraska, February 19 (sic), 1904, and departed from this life September 28, 1934, at the Broken Bow hospital, at the age of 30 years, 7 months, 14 days. She grew to womanhood in this county. In the year of 1921 she united with the Christian church (sic) in Nelson and was faithful to the end. On June 3d, 1924, she was united in marriage to Ralph V. Brown and moved with her husband to Clay county (sic). To this union were born five children. She is survived by her husband, Ralph V. Brown, four children: Melvin, age 8, Donald 7, Helen 2, and Gordan 1; her mother, Mrs. Frank Smith of Nelson, two brothers: Ernst of Edgar, Elmer of Fremont; three sisters: Mrs. Myrtle Blau, Deweese, Mrs. Clara Gerdis, Edgar, Mrs. Bertha Brennfoerder, Nelson; and a host of friends. Mrs. Brown was a faithful, loving wife, a kind and thoughtful mother, and met her many friends with a cheery smile. Funeral services were held at the Christian church (sic) in Nelson, Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, with Rev. C.R. Brooks officiating.
