Fisher, was born January 11, 1896 at Loup city, Nebraska and passed away December 20, 1938 at Rochester, Minn. She was 42 years, 11 months and nine days of age. Blanche spent most of her life in Loup City. She was a member of the Methodist church and took an active part in the work of the Wesleyan Guild. She graduated from the Loup City high school in 1915. She taught school for several years, later entered nurses' training and graduated from the University hospital with a degree of R. N., in June, 1923. She did private nursing until the time of her marriage. She was married to Adolph L. Fisher, October 18, 1927. They resided in Loup City three years, moving to Gibbon for one year and then to Ord, where they were residing at the time of her death. Four years prior to her death she underwent a major operation and had been in failing health ever since. On December 12, she was taken to Rochester, Minn., for treatment and a immediate operation was found necessary. She was thought to be recovering when a relapse occurred and she passed away suddenly. She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband, Adolph L. Fisher, her mother, Mrs. Jessie Fisher, one sister, Mrs. Rex Hoppie of Fremont and one brother, Fred Fisher of Loup City. Her father preceded her in death, twenty-three years ago. Funeral services were held in the Methodist church at 10:30 on Friday morning in charge of Rev. Peterson. Pall bearers were Raymond Outhouse, Frank Maca, Clarence McLaughlin, John Janulewicz, Emil Schoening and Carl Norstedt. Burial was made in Evergreen cemetery. Mrs. Gracie O'Bryan had charge of the flowers. Those attending the services from out of town were: Mr. and Mrs. Rex Hoppie of Fremont, Mrs. Mary Benschoter, Mrs. Ernest Nelson and Mr. Wm. Benschoter of Hay Springs, Mrs. Charlie Herian of Antioch, Mr. and Mrs. O. E. Johnson, Mrs. Lloyd Zeleski, Mrs. Cliff Flynn, Mrs. R. L. Lincoln and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kasal of Ord. The Sherman County Times - Dec 28 1938 ----------------------------------------------- Note: Obit says there is a brother, Fred. He is actually a cousin, son of Ellen Easton Baillie Wickwire, born six months before the father, Fred Myron Wickwire, died. He was taken in by Blanche's parents, and was raised by them. He went by the name, Fred Wickwire Fisher (46765412).
