He was born on Sept. 26, 1959, in Pomeroy, Wash., to Walter "Don" and Sally (Dixon) Burnett. He as been a resident of East Wenatchee since 1974, moving from Clarkston. Brian served in the U.S. Navy for 10 years on the destroyer the USS Truxton, as a nuclear electrician. He traveled all over the world, Tasmania being his favorite place. He was born on Sept. 26, 1959, in Pomeroy, Wash., to Walter "Don" and Sally (Dixon) Burnett. He as been a resident of East Wenatchee since 1974, moving from Clarkston. Brian served in the U.S. Navy for 10 years on the destroyer the USS Truxton, as a nuclear electrician. He traveled all over the world, Tasmania being his favorite place. He received many commendations for many achievements. He worked since 1989 with Schmitt Electric as an electrician. His love and interest centered around his family and doing things for them, particularly his nieces and nephews. He enjoyed hiking, camping and had a great interest in photography. He enjoyed pets and loved animals. He had tropical fish and also enjoyed plants. He was an avid reader, loved classical music and spent time with his computers, stereo system and his play station. He enjoyed playing games, both video and board games. His activities included snowmobiling, golf, a large gun collection, and astronomy, who is going to help us see the stars now. He liked to discuss anything from politics to religion, to the latest Farside comic. He had a well-honed sense of humor. He is survived by his parents, Dwane and Sally Hatch, of East Wenatchee; his brothers and sisters, David Burnett of East Wenatchee, Kevin and his wife, CarolLee Burnett, of East Wenatchee, Amy McKinney of Wenatchee, Richard and his wife, Sandy Hatch, of Walla Walla, Scott and his wife, Nancy Hatch, of Salem, Ore., LoraJo and her husband, Randy Thorp, of Langley, Wash., and Lisa and her husband, Rick Knipe, of Edmonds; his brother-in-law, Cecil McKinney of East Wenatchee; nephews, Jason, Shawn, Bryan, Aaron, Brandon, Shawn Eric and Cody; and nieces, Jerica, Heather, Jaimee, Ashley, Jade, Jennifer, Sarah, Alesha and Michelle. He was preceded in death by his father, Don Burnett, grandparents, a cousin and his beloved dog, Blue. Services are under the care of Betts Funeral Service, Wenatchee.
