Funeral services were held at the Catholic church Tuesday morning, interment being made in the Coon Rapids Catholic cemetery. .. Coming to the county in an early day with her husband empty handed as to this worlds goods, she went through all the struggles with her husband of making a home and rearing a large family. Two years ago she and Mr Moylan decided to throw off the cares of the farm, giving them over to their boys and retiring. They bought a comfortable home in town where they have since enjoyed comparative ease and it seems almost cruel that she was not spared longer to her family. Miss Bridget Carroll was born in County Monahan, Ireland May 1853. With her parents she emigrated to the US in 1870. She was married to Michael Moylan in April 1876. In 1877 they settled near Dallas Center, Iowa and in the spring of 1881 moved on a large farm near Scranton. In 1883 they bought 120 acres of land which formed the nucleus of the present homestead to which through patient industry about 700 acres have been added. To Mr and Mrs Mylan 8 children were born: Mary, the wife of Lee Bratsche; Thomas who married Margaret Holligan of Bayard; William who married Miss Jenale Clennon; and John who married Miss Lizzie Miller; and Joseph, Francis, Nora and Eva who are at home. The deceased's health began failing several months ago, a complication of diseases apparently setting in and which refused to yield to the best medical treatment obtainable. She was in the hospital about 7 weeks. The day of which she died there was no indication of early death. She was in fact on her family ? about her room on the afternoon on which she passed away. She passed away very peacefully.
