She was married to George Colgan in 1888 and they cam to Nebraska the following year. They lived south of Grafton for many years. Her husband died December 13, 1922. Mrs. Colgan moved to Greely County in 1929 and then to Omaha in 1932. She moved to Compton, Cal., four years ago. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Shaner and Mrs. Rose Kesterson, both of Compton, Cal., two sons, Thomas of Los Angeles and William of Oakland, Ca, a daughter-in-law, Agnes Colgan of Grafton, Neb., four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. One son, Edward, died June 2, 1944. The body was brought to Grafton and burial was beside her husband in Holy Cross cemetery. Rev. Thomas Kadlee conducted the graveside services. Out of town relatives and friends attending the funeral services were Mrs. Rose Kesterson of Compton, Ca., Mr. and Mrs. Frank Murphy of Bradford, Ill., Mrs. Art Cross of Norman, John Traphagan of McCook, John McIntyre of Omaha, Mr. and Mrs. Francis Joyce of Greeley, Neb., Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Foster and daughters, and William Joyce all of Wolbach, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hoban of Grand Island, Jack O’Brien and WF Weinerth, Geneva, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard O’Brien and daughter of Geneva and Mrs. Bernice Crawford of Omaha.
