Description	:	Funeral services for Bruce W. Marsh were held on Monday, August 2, 1965, at 2:00 p.m., from the Advent Christian Church in Villisca with the Rev. Alston Hall and the Rev. E. T. Bodwell, officiating. Bruce passed away July 30, at the Veteran Hospital in Omaha where he had been confined for 22 months in a coma. Graveside rites were conducted by the villisca and Stanton Legion Posts. Interment was in the Villisca Cemetery with Wolfe Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Bruce Walter Marsh, so of Walter and Grace Hudnut Marsh was born March 25, 1922 in Villisca, Iowa and passed away July 30, 1965 at Veteran’s Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. Bruce lived his entire life in Villisca, except for a period of time from September 15, 1941 to December 5, 1946, when he served in E. Company, 307th Inf. 77th Division of the Armed Forces. He was a member of the Advent Christian Church of Villisca, Iowa. He was also a part of the American Legion, VFW, and Fire Department. Bruce was united in marriage to Betty Thomas on December 7, 1947 and to this union were born seven children, Cheryl Ann, Steven Bruce, Tommy Allen, George Walter, Margaret Kay, John Andrew, and Michael James, all of whom are still at the home in Villisca. He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, who died in infancy. He leaves to mourn in addition to his wive and their seven children, Rita Snyder, a daughter from a previous marriage and her four children. He also leaves four brothers and their families, William, Earl, Tim, and Orville, all of whom reside in Villisca. Villisca Review, Thursday, August 5, 1965, page 1
