Burdette was born in Bridgewater May 13, 1851. He attended the district schools at Bridgewater and was also a student at New Hampton Literary Institution. He lived in Bridgewater for twenty-one years and came to Ashland in 1872 and has been a resident here since that time. In 1872 he married Annie I Cass. For many years Mr. Brown was a clerk in the O.A. Brown Store, now operated by his brother. Mr. Brown is survived by a widow, two daughters, Grace who lives at home and Mrs Sargent who lives in Franklin, a mother, and one brother, Ora A. Brown, besides more distant relatives.
