Born on July 30, 1917 in Scotland, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Lula Norris Ridgell. She was a lifelong resident of St. Mary's County and was married in 1937 to the late James Edward Norris Sr., who preceded her in death on March 8,1990. Born on July 30, 1917 in Scotland, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Lula Norris Ridgell. She was a lifelong resident of St. Mary's County and was married in 1937 to the late James Edward Norris Sr., who preceded her in death on March 8,1990. Survivors include her children, Anna Marie Norris of Ridge, Robert Neal Norris of Lexington Park and James Edward Norris Jr. of St. Inigoes; two sisters, Doris Wood of Ridge and Ethel Hammett of California; three grandchildren, Rebecca, Brian and Tracey Ndrris; and two stepgrandchildren, Michael and Matthew Alderson. The family received friends Jan. 21 at St. Michael's Catholic Chruch in Ridge where prayers were recited and where a Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Jan. 22 with the Rev. Karl A. Chimiak, pastor of the church, as celebrant. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were George Angle, Robert Yarber, Michael Alderson, Barry Norris, Gary Norris and Leigh Pickall.
