He was apprenticed to the builder James Crosby of Centerville for several years, later learning the trade of cabinet making in Lynn,Ma, becoming an expert. Capt.Owen Crosby was in charge of building the home for Howard Marston in Centerville known as Fernbrook, later being caretaker of the summer estate. |
