She was alone at the time, and was stricken while out in the yard. Her husband was terribly shocked, to find her there, beyond all human aid, upon his return from a trip to Hawarden. Mr. and Mrs. Halverson have been residents of Union County, S.D., for the past forty years. There is a large family of children, Mrs. Gus. Lanpop, of this city, being a daughter. They have much sympathy in this sad and sudden affliction. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m., in the Swedish Lutheran church, Union Creek, S.D. The funeral of Mrs. Peter Halverson was held at the Lutheran church last Saturday afternoon. A large concourse of friends had gathered to pay their last respects to her who had lived among them so many years. She lay as if asleep in her beautiful white casket. After the impressive funeral service, she was laid to rest in the Union Creek cemetery, just as the sun was sinking in the west. There were many beautiful flowers. The husband and children have the sincere sympathy of this entire community in their deep sorrow.
