FAIRFIELD LEDGER Monday, August 10, 1987 RITES TUESDAY FOR KIRCHNER Funeral services will be Tuesday for Carl Andrew Kirchner, 86, who died Saturday at his home, 1007 S. Main St. Kirchner was born Dec. 8, 1900, in Jefferson County. He was the son of August and Pearl Alta Fleagle Kirchner. He was married to H. Marie Teeter on Feb. 8, 1923. He later married Mary Graham Wells on Jan. 10, 1946, in Ottumwa. She preceded him in death in 1964. He lived most of his life in Jefferson County and owned and operated the Broadway Bakery for 20 years. Survivors are two daughters, Evelyn Barker, Mattawan, Mich. and Darlene Morrison, Batavia; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and one sister, Florence Schiedel, Fairfield. He was preceded in death by an infant son. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Mary Ann Bernard officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Heart Fund.
