Description	:	Funeral services were held from Nazareth Lutheran church Monday afternoon, for Carl G. Ringen, prominent Kenmare businessman and funeral director, who succumbed from an apparent coronary at his home Wednesday evening. His passing came as a distinct shock as he had not been ill, although during the day had complained of not feeling well. Officiating at the last rites were Richard Sorenson, interim pastor, and Rev. Mr. Ringen was born Aug. 30, 1910, at Minot, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Matt Ringen, and active in community and civic affairs. He had served as president of the Nazareth Lutheran church council, was chairman of the building committee when the present church was built, had served as president of the Deaconess Hospital Board, the Association of Commerce and Lions Club, served on the city park board for many years, and last month had been appointed to the Board of Education. He had been active in the N. Dak. Funeral Directors Association, and served a number of years ago on the Board of Directors of Our Own Hardware, in Minneapolis. Fraternally, he was a past master of Kenmare Lodge No. 70, A.F. & A.M. He was married Aug. 3, 1939 at Fargo, to Idel Saterlie of Crosby, who passed away after a lengthy illness in 1960, and on June 4, 1961, he married Helen Larson of Kenmare, who survives, together with a daughter Pauline, and a stepson Thomas Larson, at home. He is also survived by a sister, Mrs. H.A. (Olive) Bodmer of Kenmare, who is in Alaska on vacation, and two brothers, Jorgen of Kenmare and Dr. Leif Ringen, of Pullman, Wash. The latter was in route to Kenmare for a visit when advised of his brother’s passing. Also surviving are two stepdaughters, Mrs. Roger Reede, Grand Forks, and Mrs. David Lund of Hyattsville, Md., and four grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother Johan, and also by an infant brother, and a sister, Mrs. J.H. (Kristine) Bodmer. His mother passed away January 14, 1960.
