Description	:	Olive A. Bodmer, age 78, of rural Kenmare, died Monday, April 29, 1991, at her home, of natural causes. Her funeral will be held today, Wednesday, May 1, 1991, at 2 p.m. at the Nazareth Lutheran Church of Kenmare with Rev. Charles Taft, officiating. Organist will be Joan Larson with Lowell Nelson, vocalist. Burial will follow in the Lakeview Cemetery, also of Kenmare. She was born on December 18, 1912, at Minot, a daughter of Mathias and Gunda (Haugen) Ringen. She was raised there and the family moved to the Kenmare area in 1928. She graduated from Kenmare High School in 1930 and NDSU, at Fargo, in 1934. She was married to Herbert A. Bodmer, in Kenmare, on June 15, 1936 and they lived and farmed in the Kenmare area. He died on June 12, 1966 and she has remained in the Kenmare area. She was a member of the Nazareth Lutheran Church and the Sarah Circle. She belonged to the American Home Economics Association and was in the Gamma Phi Beta Sorority in college. She had served on the Ward County Library Board for a time, and was currently active in both the P.E.O. Sisterhood, and Samovar, in Kenmare. She is survived by her sons, George of Brandon, FL, John of Draper, UT, Paul of Bismarck, and Henry and Thomas, both of Kenmare; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, as well as four brothers and one sister. Visitation will be held today, Wednesday, from 9 a.m. until 12 noon at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home in Kenmare.
