Description	:	Carlie E Andre, 85 of the Nebraska Veterans Home died Friday, Dec 18, at he Nebraska Veteran’s home. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Ringgold Free Methodist Church in Ringgold. The Rev. Mark Christopher will officiate. Burial will be in the Loup Valley Cemetery at Stapleton. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Monday at Apfel-Buttler-Geddes Funeral Home in Grand Island and from noon until time of service Tuesday at Ringgold Free Chruch. Memorials are suggested to the church of the donor’s choice. Mrs. Andre was born Dec 11, 1907 at Middlebranch to Charlie and Ellen (Pettet) Blain. She grew up and was educated in District 50 School at Middlebranch. She graduated in 1926 from Page High School in Page. She furthered her education at Faith Bible School at Mitchell, SD and from 1929 to 1941 she worked at the school. She married George M. Andre on Aug 5, 1945, at Stapleton. The couple farmed west of Stapleton and later moved to Arnold and then North Platte. Mr. Andre died in 1978. She then made him home at Orchard until she moved to the Nebraska veteran’s Home in 1989. Survivors include two daughters, Zeppelin Moore and Elsie Hopkins, both of North Platt; four sons, Melvin of Stapleton, Clifford of Gordon, John of Citrus Heights, Calif., and Paul of Waterloo, Iowa; 10 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by her husband; a son, James; a granddaughter and her brothers and sisters.
