Description	:	Carol Ann Quinn, 77 years of age, of Oxford, passed away on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, Nebraska. Carol Ann was born January 25, 1933 on the family farm north of Edison in Gosper County, Nebraska, the second of five children of James and Samantha (Chapman) Hosier. Read More	Carol Ann Quinn, 77 years of age, of Oxford, passed away on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, Nebraska. Carol Ann was born January 25, 1933 on the family farm north of Edison in Gosper County, Nebraska, the second of five children of James and Samantha (Chapman) Hosier. Carol Ann was baptized as an adult in the Methodist Church. Carol Ann received her education at Edison Public Schools. Following her education, she was united in marriage to George H. Quinn, Jr. on December 22, 1949 at Wray, Colorado and to this union four children were born: Debra, Kelda, Joni and George III. The family made their home in Oxford, where Carol Ann was employed at Swanson's Processing Plant for several years. She was well known for her seamstress ability and took in sewing at home while the children were young and continued this interest until her passing. Later in years, Carol Ann cleaned at the Countryside Motel, worked at 3-G's Convenience Store, and at the Oxford Super Market, where she was currently employed. She loved to tend to her flowers and yard, enjoyed gardening, reading, crosswords, and enjoyed doing counted cross-stitch. Most of all, her family will remember her for her fried chicken and potatoes and gravy dinners. She was a member of the Oxford United Methodist Church and enjoyed the friendship bonds formed in her Birthday Club she was part of for many years. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers-in-law: LeRoy Johnson, Roger Sparks, Dean Roberts, John Quinn, Howard Quinn, Ed Shay and his wife, Hazel, Eugene Quinn, Everett Quinn and his wife, Lucille.
