She was married to Charles Henning on Nov. 3, 1882. They celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversary 7 years ago. Both came to Kansas in 1884 settling in Delphos and returned to Glasco in 1887 and have lived here continuously. She was married to Charles Henning on Nov. 3, 1882. They celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversary 7 years ago. Both came to Kansas in 1884 settling in Delphos and returned to Glasco in 1887 and have lived here continuously. She was a long time member of the Glasco Lutheran church and also a charter member of the Ladies Aid. She is survived by her husband, two sons, six daughters and twelve grandchildren and one sister. One daughter, Hattie, preceded her in death in 1924. The funeral was held at the Lutheran church Sunday afternoon at 2:00 and conducted by Rev Milton Englehardt and assisted by Rev. Allsbury. Mrs. Ruben Spicher read a favorite German song. Pallbearers were the following grandchildren: Karl Horn, Lawrence Gillispie, Gale Williams, Kenneth Lampert, Jack Jordan, George Dean Pratt. "Tribute" From the Children Mere words cannot express the words our hearts would say. Our grief is touched with a sense of gratitude for the life which has passed. It was a life strong and gentle and in a fine and noble sense a Christian life. She was the center and inspiration of the home--preeminently a Christian mother--her life was inseparably interwoven with the lives of her husband and children and her influence was ever God-ward. She was a true mother who found no sacrifice too great and no idea too high for her children. Our mother has been taken from us but not for long. Soon the final summons must needs come to us to meet her.
