Description	:	Carolyn Kopera-Saco, 75, of rural Defiance passed away December 21, 2017 at the Toledo Hospital. She was born on October 15, 1942, the daughter of the late Julius and Emma (Volkman) Buchhop. She was a 1960 graduate of Ridgeville Corners High School. On August 14, 1965, she married John E. Kopera, who preceded her in death on March 21, 1995. On May 1, 2004, she married Gerald “Jerry” Saco, who survives. Read More	Carolyn Kopera-Saco, 75, of rural Defiance passed away December 21, 2017 at the Toledo Hospital. She was born on October 15, 1942, the daughter of the late Julius and Emma (Volkman) Buchhop. She was a 1960 graduate of Ridgeville Corners High School. On August 14, 1965, she married John E. Kopera, who preceded her in death on March 21, 1995. On May 1, 2004, she married Gerald “Jerry” Saco, who survives. Carolyn was employed from 1960 to 1990 at the former Sheridan Manufacturing of Ridgeville Corners and served as a Committee Woman/Steward for 11 years at Local No. 14 Union in Wauseon, where she helped negotiate several union contracts. Carolyn was a lifelong member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Napoleon Twp., where she was baptized, confirmed and married. She enjoyed dolls, bells, and working with live and silk flowers. She also enjoyed helping her husband, Jerry remodel their rental homes and working together in the yard. Carolyn is also survived by her brother, Eldon Buchhop, of Napoleon, and nephews, Ron (Theresa) and David (Gayle) and their children, Jacob, Rachel, and Nathan, and Michaela, Ashley, Hannah, Kaytlynn and great nephew, Jaxson; stepchildren, Cathy (Terry) Gill, of Bellefontaine, OH, Jeff Saco of Columbus, OH. She is also survived by step grandchildren, Kristin, Kylee, Tiana and Lyrx. She was also preceded in death by a stepson, Gary Saco. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 27 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Napoleon Twp. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. at Rodenberger Funeral Home, Napoleon and Wednesday from 10-11 a.m. at the church. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church or Susan G. Komen Northwest Ohio.
