Carrie Bodmer in 1914 was employed as a public school teacher in Potomac, Maryland, and later worked for the U.S. Government. Personal note When I was a kid in the '60s, we occasionally visited the home of Cousin Carrie—my grandmother Ruth Roach's first cousin—in Silver Spring, and it was always a pleasure for us. She and her husband George were warm and inviting. Recall also that one year, when Grandma Ruth was visiting us, Cousin Carrie, and her sisters, Cousins Minnie and Clara (all with their husbands) shared Thanksgiving dinner with us at our house.
