Wednesday evening Washington Journey contains the following Funeral services for Mrs. W. E. Glider are announced for Thursday morning at 10 a.m. at the L.A. jones funeral home to be conducted by the Rev, A.A. Vinz of the Baptist Church, burial will be in the West Chester Cemetery. Mrs. Glider died yesterday evening at 6:15 at the Washington County hospital death being due to uremic poisoning, she became seriously ill last Friday and was taken to the hospital Sunday where everything was done to save her life. Carrie Mabel Gruver was born at Winfield September 15, 1886 a daughter of Irvin and Estelle (Adams) Gruver. She was married to W.K. Glider on February 22, 1907 and they removed to West Chester where Mr..Glider operated a barber shop for eighteen years then they moved to Washington . Besides her husband she leaves four sons, Cecil Edgar, 20, ray Woodrow, 17, Francis Jean,13, Keith Hillis, 11, and a daughter Betty Lou six years old. There are two brothers Clifford Gruver and Floyd Gruver of Winfield and four sisters. Mrs. Charles DeYarman, Mrs. Will Kramer, of Winfield and Mrs. Loraine cox of Mt. Union and Mrs. Oscar Davis of Wapello. Mrs. glider attended the Christian church of Washington and enjoyed the esteem of the members of this congregation and the neighbors in the community where she lived.
