Carroll Bradshaw was a member of the First Congregational Church of Nashua, NH, during his years there. During his years in Fairfield, he served as a trustee of Parsons College and a director of Iowa State Bank, the Fairfield Public Library, and the Bethany Home. He was a active member of the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce, and its forerunner the Fairfield Commercial Club. He was a 50-year member of the Fairfield Rotary Club, a 32nd degree Mason, a Shriner, and a member of the Elks lodge. BRADSHAW, a Fairfield merchant for more than 50 years, died Wednesday night at the Birchwood Nursing Home in Derry, N. H. He was 81. BRADSHAW had made his home in Nashua, N. H., since 1975. He had been seriously ill for the past five weeks. A memorial service will be held Monday in Derry. Following cremation, inurnment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield at a later date. A memorial has been established to the Fairfield Public Library. BRADSHAW was born in Fairfield July 22, 1901, the son of John C. and Grace WILSON BRADSHAW. He was educated in the local schools and graduated from the University of Illinois in 1923. He was associated with the Bradshaw Furniture Store, a business founded by his father in 1899, from 1915 until his retirement in 1971. He was married to Edna L. (sic - Edna E.) ENYART Oct. 20, 1923. BRADSHAW was a member of the First Congregational Church of Nashua. During his years in Fairfield, he served as a trustee of Parsons College and a director of the Iowa State Bank, the Fairfield Public Library and the Bethany Home. He was an active member of the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce and its forerunner, the Fairfield Commercial Club. He was a 50-year member of the Fairfield Rotary Club, a 32nd degree Mason, a Shriner and a member of the Elks lodge. He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Joan SCOVEL, Hampstead, N. H.; one sister, Mary Margaret SMITH of Missouri; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. BRADSHAW plans to make her home with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Calvin SCOVIL (sic - SCOVEL).....(address omitted for privacy).
