Description	:	It has long been presumed that Catharine (Eaton) Freelove was buried in Hillside Cemetery. New information has been received via Find A Grave (confirmation still needed)that Catharine left Vermont and went to Illinois where some of children had gone after the Civil War. She is listed on the 1870 Federal Census as "Cath Freelove" in the household of her son, John Freelove. However, Ancestry.com indexed the family as "Freeborn". She is supposed to be buried near the tombstone of her son, John A. Freelove (Civil War Soldier) in Spring Lake Cemetery, Aurora, Kane County, Illinois. On the same... She is supposed to be buried near the tombstone of her son, John A. Freelove (Civil War Soldier) in Spring Lake Cemetery, Aurora, Kane County, Illinois. On the same large stone is an inscription for his wife, Martha J. (her maiden name still unknown). The plot location for "Catherine Freelove" is said to be Plot JE-275. A request has been made that the "other memorial", under the name of Catherine Freelove, to add some updated information. Until that request is approved and acted upon, this "memorial" for Catharine (Eaton) Freelove will remain here with a link to her son, John A. Freelove. (See memorial #146683558) Apparently there is no tombstone for Catharine in the Illinois cemetery although there is an elaborate one of her son, John and his wife there. It remains uncertain whether she was actually buried in Illinois or with her husband in Vermont.
