Davidson, 96, who had lived on the same farm for 93 years, died Sunday morning from a heart attack. Mrs. Davidson was born in Indiana. She came to Warren county with her parents when she was three years old. Services will be held Wednesday, April 17, at 2 p.m. at the Methodist church in Spring Hill. Mrs. Davidson had no children but Mr. and Mrs. Dean Moore lived with her. Mrs. Moore had lived with her since a small girl. Mrs. Davidson is the last member of her family. Her husband died 21 years ago. She had been in poor health for the past year. # # # Tues., April 30, 1946 Record-Herald & Indianola Tribune Catharine M. Davidson, daughter of Samuel and Mary Lockridge, was born in Brown county, Ind., Feb. 2, 1850, and died at her home near Spring Hill April 14, 1946, at the age of 96 years; 2 months and 12 days. When a small child of 3 years, she moved with her parents and brothers and sisters from Indiana to Iowa, where they settled on the farm that was her home for the next 93 years. Dec. 31, 1872, she was married to Charles B. Davidson, for almost 53 years, or until his death Oct. 25, 1925. Sept. 3, 1899, under the pastorate of the Rev. Mr. Butterfield, she was baptized and united with the Spring Hill Christian church. She was a faithful member throughout her life. Mr. and Mrs. Davidson had no children of their own, but in 1884 they took into their home their nephew, Roy R. Leap, who made his home with them until his death in 1903. Later Catharine Louise Beltz came to make her home with them. After Catharine's marriage to Dean R. Moore, they continued to make their home with Aunt Catharine, and have kindly taken care of her through her declining years of life. The three daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Moore, Donna Marie, her namesake, Delores Catharine, and Dorothy Dora, along with her Bible have given Aunt Catharine a pleasure in the later years of her life. Besides the Moore family, Aunt Catharine is survived by several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. Services were held at the Spring Methodist church Wednesday, April 17, at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Mr. Herrod, pastor of the Norwalk Christian church. He was assisted by the Rev. Ivan Bys, pastor of Spring Hill Methodist church.
