A native of Union County, she was a daughter of the late Monroe and Eugenia Jett Ivey. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church and formerly employed with Bethel Church Day Care. Survivors include her husband, Earl Greer; a daughter, Joyce Greer Garrett of Union; a son, James Earl "Jimmy" Greer of Union; two sisters, Nellie Ivey McCoy and Teresa Ivey Lawson of Union; four grandchildren, and a great-grandson. The body will be placed in the church at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Union Memorial Gardens. The family is at the home.
