Description	:	The Narka News, Dec. 17, 1915 Catherine A. Dovel was born in Rockingham, Co., Va., Sept. 16th 1827, and departed this life at her home near Munden, Kansas, Dec. 16th, 1915. Aged 88 years, 2 months and 22 days. She was united in marriage to St. Clair Dovel, June 30, 1850. To this union were born nine children, six of whom still survive. She and her husband moved to Nemaha county, Nebraska, in March 1877, where they resided until 1883, when they came to Republic county where she has since resided with her family. Mrs. Dovel... Read More	The Narka News, Dec. 17, 1915 Catherine A. Dovel was born in Rockingham, Co., Va., Sept. 16th 1827, and departed this life at her home near Munden, Kansas, Dec. 16th, 1915. Aged 88 years, 2 months and 22 days. She was united in marriage to St. Clair Dovel, June 30, 1850. To this union were born nine children, six of whom still survive. She and her husband moved to Nemaha county, Nebraska, in March 1877, where they resided until 1883, when they came to Republic county where she has since resided with her family. Mrs. Dovel united with the Church of the Brethren in 1854 of which faith she always was loyal to until her death. She bore her affliction with patience and Christian fortitude being confined to her bed since August. She leaves six children, three sons and three daughters, one brother, twelve grandchildren and a host of friends to mourn her departure. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the home conducted by Rev. Ed Stewart, of the Church of the Brethren near Belleville. Interment was made in the Ida cemetery by the side of her husband who departed this life May 15, 1911.
