I have transcribed the obituary as written. --------------- Obituary From Ottumwa Courier, June 13, 1978: CATHERINE JOHNSON Mrs. Catherine Johnson, 80, of 205 Wildwood Drive died at 4:55 a.m. June 12 at Ottumwa Hospital. She was born Nov. 3, 1897, in Cleveland, Iowa, to Homer and Ann Luke Thorne. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. She married Walter C. Johnson on July 1, 1917, in Ottumwa. He died in 1969. Survivors: a son, Harvey J. of Houston; daughters Lois Timmins and Doris Anderson of Ottumwa; and six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Johnson Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Harold Gilleney officiating. Burial: Shaul Cemetery. The casket will be closed at the beginning of the service.
