She was born Jan. 8, 1915, in Lewis County, the daughter of the late Joseph Henderson and Myrtle Gill Henderson. She was preceded in death by her husband William Jacob Werline. Mrs. Werline, before retirement, worked at the U.S. Shoe Corporation. She was a member of the Tollesboro Christian Church. She was involved with the Helping Hands at the Tollesboro Christian Church where she also taught Sunday school. Survivors include her children, Elmer Lee Werline... She was born Jan. 8, 1915, in Lewis County, the daughter of the late Joseph Henderson and Myrtle Gill Henderson. She was preceded in death by her husband William Jacob Werline. Mrs. Werline, before retirement, worked at the U.S. Shoe Corporation. She was a member of the Tollesboro Christian Church. She was involved with the Helping Hands at the Tollesboro Christian Church where she also taught Sunday school. Survivors include her children, Elmer Lee Werline of Orleans, Ind., Delbert (Wanda) Werline of Lexington, William "Billy" (Linda) Werline of Tollesboro, Joyce (Steve) Hampton of Little Cabin Creek, Linda (Don) Porter of Leesburg, Fla., Wanda (Ernie) Hughes of Tollesboro, Jean (Dale) Mustard of Tollesboro, and Marietta (Jeff) Cooper of Tollesboro; 18 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were three sisters, Thelma Henderson, Clara Chenault, Isa Werline; and two brothers, Elmer Henderson, and Perry Henderson. Services will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2006, at the Tollesboro Christian Church with Bro., Charles Hampton officiating. She will lie in repose one hour prior to the service at the church. Visitation will be Oct. 9, 2006, at the Barbour and Son Funeral Home in Tollesboro from 6-8 p.m.
