Pallbearers Named Pallbearers were Herman Petersen, Martin Petersen, Marvin Petersen, Hans H. Petersen, John Carstensen, Oxford Junction; and John Carstensen, Clarence. Catherine Marie Petersen, daughter of Martin and Elizabeth Petersen, was born in Jones county, March 19, 1881. Her home was always in Jones county and in Wyoming. She was united in marriage to August Carstensen, April 18, 1901. Couple moved to their farm home east of town after 1912. Mr. Carstensen passed away in 1948. Mrs. Carstensen moved into Wyoming about eight years ago. Before her death on Wednesday, April 23, at St. Luke's hospital, Cedar Rapids, Mrs. Carstensen had been, critically ill for three weeks. She had been in failing health the last year. Survivors Named Besides her husband, Mrs. Carstensen was preceded in death by a grandson, James Bahnsen, and four brothers, Jens, Frank, John and Thomas. She is survived by four daughters and four sons, Mrs. Wilbur Paulsen, Mrs. Elmer Bahnsen, Mrs. Raymond Dusanek, Herman, Martin, August, Johnnie, all of Wyoming; and Mrs. Max Thomsen, Anamosa. There are 13 grandchildren, one of whom, Donald Carstensen, is with the United States Armed forces in Munich, Germany. Also surviving are two brothers, Louis and Martin of Oxford Junction; and one sister, Mrs. Anna Carstensen, Wyoming.
