Preceding him in death were an infant daughter, Delores Jean, his parents, a grand-daughter, Diane Lynn Bensend, and a step-brother, Alvin Minnis. Funeral services were held March 14, 1974 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chisholm-Lindstrom Funeral Home, with the Reverend John Gilbert officiating. Music was furnished by Mrs. Roy Stark. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Riceville, Ia. Casket bearers included Jerald and Jack Steiert, Roswell Lively, Curt and Lloyd Foster and Duane Lockie.
