Description	:	Cecilia Margaret Elenora Mickey Mrs. Cecilia Margaret Elenora Mickey of Rimbey, Alberta passed away in the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre on Monday January 2, 2006 at the age of 91 years. Cecelia's father, Peter Thomas Marchildon (1883-1937) moved from Penetanguishene, Ontario to the Rimbey District in the early 1900's. He met and married Matilda Donnelly in 1906. From this union 4 children were born. In 1910 they moved to the Lavesta District. Cecelia was born on Pat Donnelly's homestead at Lavesta. Cecelia went to school at Lavesta and later worked at Red Deer and Sylvan Lake doing domestic work and milking cows.... Cecelia's father, Peter Thomas Marchildon (1883-1937) moved from Penetanguishene, Ontario to the Rimbey District in the early 1900's. He met and married Matilda Donnelly in 1906. From this union 4 children were born. In 1910 they moved to the Lavesta District. Cecelia was born on Pat Donnelly's homestead at Lavesta. Cecelia went to school at Lavesta and later worked at Red Deer and Sylvan Lake doing domestic work and milking cows. In 1930 she was working at the Fred Plank farm and it was here that she met the love of her life Bill Mickey whom she married on March 2, 1935. After the marriage they were both employed by Jerome Donnelly for the next two years. From this marriage six children were born. They moved to the Blindman District in the spring of 1940 where they rented from Jesse Lloyd. They lived there until 1941. In 1944 they bought the Mel Sheppard half section and lived there until 1975. They then purchased an acreage 2 miles north of Rimbey where they resided until 1990 when they moved into a senior's complex in Rimbey and lived until 2000 when they made their final move, this time into Parkland Manor. It was while living here that Bill was hospitalized for 3 months and then passed away in 2004. A year later she moved into the Acute Care section of the Rimbey hospital and finally in December of 2005 she made her final move to the Extended Care section of the hospital where she passed away peacefully at the age of 91 years. Cecelia was predeceased by her husband of 69 years Bill in 2004 one daughter, Catherine in 1997, her sister Marie in 1953 and by brothers Wilfred in 1989 and Jerome in 1998.
