Description	:	THE JEROME MARCHILDON FAMILY I, Jerome, son of Tom and Matilda Marchildon of the Lavesta District, was born in the Rimbey dis- trict in 1911, farmed for a short time on the W 35- 42-3-W5 owned by Mrs. L. Keith, Sr. Here our three children were born. Connie was born in September of 1943, and is married to Gilbert Lechelt. They live in Edmonton where they both work for Swift Canadian. They have two girls. Gary born in December of 1945, married Linda Shaw of Rimbey. He is an Electrician working out of Rocky Mountain House. They have two children. Donna was born in August of 1949 and is mar- ried to Bob Pecharsky of Rimbey. They live on a farm by the Rimbey Gulf Gas plant. Donna teaches school in Rimbey. We farmed this land through the years taking the good with the bad. Our farm has seen a mixture of chickens, pigs, milk cows, feeder steers, hay and grain crops. With all the work, I still managed to go on an annual hunting trip, and if we didn't come home with any big game, we always had plenty of tall tales to tell. Hunting, fishing and camping are still a favorite pass time for us, and we often make it a family affair now with our chil- dren and grandchildren. Our son-in-law and daughter, Bob and Donna Pe- charsky rented our land in 1981. In the year 1978 we sold the County of Ponoka eight acres of land for a new Cemetery for the Rimbey District.
