Hunt and Susanna Sickler in then Gloucester County in the Township of Gloucester near Spring Mills, according to his Civil War Pension file. "William" Chalkley Packer Burrough Hunt is my maternal great grandfather and Civil War veteran, having served in the 95th Regiment, Ohio Volunteer Infantry. "William" Chalkley Packer Burrough Hunt is my maternal great grandfather and Civil War veteran, having served in the 95th Regiment, Ohio Volunteer Infantry. It was while living in Madison County, Ohio that he met and married his wife Margaret Mulcahy in 1858 and began using the name of William C. B. Hunt until his death. The family moved to California in 1868, consisting of the parents and 3 children, Julian, Leo and Helen. William C. B. was a blacksmith by trade, however, he owned an orange/citrus ranch in Orange, then Los Angeles County where the 4 remaining children were born: Hugh, Laura, Harry and Richard. In the 1880s the family moved to Ojai, Ventura County where William again owned a citrus ranch. In the mid-1890s, William, Margaret, Laura and Richard (my maternal grandfather) moved to Santa Barbara. William C. B.'s grave marker only says "FATHER" to the right of his beloved wife Margaret; to the left is their daughter Laura wife of David Morrell (actually Morelli). Her marker simply says "LAURA".
