He was united in marriage to Pearl Mae Holloway on July 28, 1928, and to this union seventeen children were born. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one infant son Allen Eugene, one son Thomas William; three daughters, Wanda Goldene, Mary Magalene, and Bessie Pauline; and one great grandson, Luke. Martin was born June 7, 1903, in Shannon County, the son of Thomas and Sarah Ann Harring Martin, and passed away March 12, 1988 at the age of 84 years. He was united in marriage to Pearl Mae Holloway on July 28, 1928, and to this union seventeen children were born. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one infant son Allen Eugene, one son Thomas William; three daughters, Wanda Goldene, Mary Magalene, and Bessie Pauline; and one great grandson, Luke. He is survived by six sons, Bud, Gerald, and John Martin, all of Winona, MO, Gary and Sam Martin of High Ridge, MO, and Ronnie Martin of Fenton, MO; six daughters, Melva Mitchell of Blytheville, AR, Nellie Wurth of Dellwood, MO, Susie Elliot of Carmichael, CA, Myrtle Petty of Maysville, MO, Brenda Harris of Winona, MO, Katie Knight of Eminence, MO; one sister Mary Holloway of Oregon; 32 grandchildren, and 35 great grandchildren. He was a good provider for his family and had many friends. He will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him. Funeral services were held Monday, March 14, 1988, at the Duncan Funeral Chapel at Winona with Rev. David Meade officiating. Burial was in Pinelawn Cemetery under the direction of the Duncan Funeral Home of Winona.
