Description	:	Obituary from The York Daily News August 3, 1927 Charles Edward Hiett, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Hiett deceased since 1901, was born in Philadelphia Illinois. He was the youngest of twelve children who were brought up in the Christian church. He unitied with the church at age fifteen and was very active in the choir, Christian Endeavor, and general work of the church at this place. He was married to Miss Edna Metcalf, March 11, 1903. Read More	Obituary from The York Daily News August 3, 1927 Charles Edward Hiett, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Hiett deceased since 1901, was born in Philadelphia Illinois. He was the youngest of twelve children who were brought up in the Christian church. He unitied with the church at age fifteen and was very active in the choir, Christian Endeavor, and general work of the church at this place. He was married to Miss Edna Metcalf, March 11, 1903. To this union two boys were born, Orville and Harold. Mrs. Hiett departed this life February 8, 1907 and Orville, the older son passed away September 14, 1921. On July 11, 1910 Mr. Hiett was united in marriage to Mrs. Emma Hiett, and to this union a son was born. He is survived by his widow, two sons, Harold of Iowa and Ivan of York, a stepdaughter, Mrs. Clarence Reisinger of Waco, three sisters, Mrs. Fannie Wilson of Mansfield Ohio, Mrs. Mary Grant of David City and Mrs. Thomas Pierce of York. All are here at the funeral except Mrs. Wilson of Ohio. I worship Thee sweet will of God, and all Thy ways adore. And every day I live, I seem to love Thee more and more. I love to kiss each print where Thou hast set Thine unseen feet. I cannot fear Thee, blessed will, Thine empire is so sweet. When obstacles and trials seem like prison walls to be, I do the little I can do, and leave the rest to Thee. NOTE: Harold E Hiett FAG#128850079, DOB Dec. 29,1906 was the youngest son of Charles and Edna. Harold was born a little over a month before his mother passed away. He then went to live with Edna's sister Lucinda and her husband, and was raised in Iowa.
